No, seriously. XD It's true. Let me explain.


For approaching half a year now, I have been taking an Iaido (a companion swordsmanship art to Kendo) class run by some of the best teachers in the country. Seriously. they're REALLY good. Two of them have been on the National Kendo Team, and I think one of our guest teachers who comes every few weeks is at that level, too. They drive us really hard, but as a result, I've learned to spot my own mistakes. I'm still just starting out, of course, but I HAVE stepped past the point of total n00bism.

More to the point, they're holding the exams in something like five days. I won't be participating, since I haven't spent enough time training (nor do I have a metal blade; I'm still working with a wooden one), but I do wish to go watch. I also want to attend the seminar beforehand.

The problem is, Iaido has, like, NO information online about it. XD Not even on their official site. I've looked and looked, and the Interwebz have failed. ^^ I'll probably still go somehow, but... it's amazing how little info there is online. Guess it's mostly a word-of-mouth thing. The seminar is the important part for me, since some of the people who practice Iaido that are even better than my teachers will be there. I can't wait. XD
